The gap between the busiest and quietest ball grows as the draws pile up, but slower than the counts themselves, so against what every ball has had it keeps shrinking. A number can run hot for years without ever being more likely than the rest.

Pari-mutuel divisions use per-winner amounts from a recent published draw. The simulator assumes several million lines bought by other people each draw, so jackpots get shared and are regularly struck by someone else, approximately as often as happens in past real life.
